Val & Collette Cook Family

While in India Val had a business meeting in Ahmedabad, we were there for two days, he was in meetings and I went shopping and site seeing. The first day I need a scarf so I went to a market that was close to the hotel.  I found some very cool scarfs or dupotas and some friends.  It was hot so after I bought stuff they offered me to sit and they brought me water.  DJ kept trying toto get me to buy more things. I told him I was closed.  We laughed and talked Mother, son, daughter Man I bought a belt from The auto rickshaws were very cheep and very nice.  The next day one of them took me to Gandhi's Ashram, where he lived for awhile.  The auto guy waited for me and took me back.  I walked around and took pictures.  It is such a special place there is quite the feeling there. Everyone is asking me how it feels to be an empty nester.  I took Emma to Brigham Young University - Idaho after Labor day weekend.  She is now settled into her apartment and having fun with her new college life.  It took longer than I thought to get her moved in.  Things always take longer I should be use to it by now.  I went to Utah by way of Star Valley to see the Star Valley Temple.  The photo I took is on my photo blog.  They were rehearsing for the celebration and about to film primary children walking to the temple. I listened to the BYU football game on the way to Springville.  I was going to watch it with my parents but I was delayed settling Emma in to her place.  There are times you rearrange your schedule for your child's needs and I was happy to do it. Life has been very busy. After our trip to China I was sick some kind of cold I rested for a few days then got ready for our Val Cook family reunion. Fr our reunion we stayed at Val's brother Vance's cabin in Eden Utah.  It was so much fun.  We played games rested had a Foosball and ping pong tournament.  It was so good to be altogether. Birthday celebration for Kyle and Adam who had birthdays while we were in China. A look around the cabin;  Val fixed his sail boat and brought it along.  Nathaniel brought his sail boat to so there was some sailing going on also.

Brianne and Dustin were great tour guides they knew just where to take us.  We went to the forbidden City on a bus and walked up a hill to over look it first.  Then we took a rickshaw ride to the other side to the entrance.  It was a lot of walking too.
