We arrived our first tourist site. My favorite formations Deep in the caves We spent the day touring the caverns we hiked in and then took the 800 foot elevator back up.  We were glad not to walk back up.  Just before you go into the National Park there is a town  called White City, named for the named for the man who found the caverns.  He saw smoke and went to investigate only to find thousands of bats coming out of the cave.

After a full day of driving we ended up at Brent and La Preal Hancock's house.  They were so nice to let us stay with them they even had a motor home to sleep in so we didn't have to put up our tent trailer.  That was very nice because we weren't very settled in yet. We went to church with them on Sunday then played games.  That evening we got together with all the Hancock's.

 Val loves to prepare for the camping adventures. Here he is separating all the food and putting them into meals. All the kids were helpful and full of energy during the process. By the end of the night all the food was ready to go. We also decided that we are going to be eating well with all the food! Seven Days of Food all ready to put in our Packs.

Val and I met in high school, fell in love and have now been married 27 years  We have 5 children; Camilla, Nathaniel, Brianne, Jared and Emma. Camilla has graduated from BYU Idaho and now lives in Provo Utah and teaches children to dance.  Her life's dream. Nathaniel also lives in Provo he is going to BYU majoring in physics. He is married to Amber and they have cutest boy ever, Adam. Brianne is attending BYU Idaho, majoring in History with a minor in Music. Jared will be a senior this fall at Ponderosa High School. Emma is 13 and loves singing and Dancing.

We are going on a big adventure this summer.  Val has a sabbatical from Intel so we are going to tour the US with our children.  We will be keeping you posted so you can look in on us from time to time.
