Police

Yesterday on the way home from church traffic stopped Jeroj said that it was the prim minister. The whole street both ways was closed for awhile. After that we started noticing police everywhere even on our street. This morning there were lots of police at Lotus pond where I walk. I walked around there were probable 15 scattered along the path some walking most sitting. Jeroj watched out for me and saw that I made it to the office. When I got to the office one of the employees said that some government prisoner had been let out of prison so he could vote. He lives by Lotus pond so that is why all the police. Friday night there was a down pod or should I say monsoon. 11.2 cm in 24 hours. Most of which came down in a two hour time period. Just when we wanted to walk home we waited. The streets were flooded. There was articles in the paper. 5 people killed and many flooded out of their homes. Quite the weekend. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Shopping

Image
We went shopping for souvenirs. It we lots of fun. Then that evening we went to dinner with Natalie and her mom and dad. It was great. The restaurant was full so they took us up to an upper room which was a banquet hall. To get there we walked through the kitchen. Try to do that in the US. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Visiting Monali Deepani

Image
Monali is the wife of Denish, who works with Val, Natalie is there daughter. I spent the afternoon and evening with them. It was lots of fun. Making pancakes which turned into chickens then ducks then clouds. The clouds got washed away and blown in the wind. Monali's next door neighbors. Three generations. Monali cooking our dinner in her kitchen. She is a very good cook. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Charminar

Image
Meaning four towers is a landmark in Hyderabad where there is an out door market and bazaar famous for it pearls and bangles. This was the craziest place everyone after you to by their things. There were cute little bees buzzing around this fruit. This gives you a small idea of how crowded it is couldn't take pictures in the really crowded parts or I would lose Val or get run over by an auto Boy selling bags for 100 rs.   This is a wagon with chips in it yes potato chips. No matter how many pictures I take I can't capture the feeling of being in traffic.  This was the most I had seen we are in the center of town.   We also went to a museum but were not allowed to take the camera so we just walked around.  It was very interesting.  They were doing construction in the hallways while it was open and people walking around.
