Visiting Pumpkin Patch

Image
Before Val and I went to India we had to have our fun fall festivities with the grand-kids. We took them to Jackers in Springville and had a blast.  We buried each other in the corn. There was corn all over the place.   We slid down slides, had a wild hay ride in the mud, had yummy donuts, and got lost in a hay bale maze.

Fire evacuation!

September was a crazy month.  A Wild fire, started by lightening, caused our town of Woodland Hills and neighboring town of Elk Ridge to evacuate our homes.  I was a surreal experience  going through our home choosing what to keep and what could be replaced.  I had been packing for a weekend trip so I had some clothes together.  I thought we would be back in our home in a few days. We took our photos journals, and important papers.   I had felt calm as I packed up I left my home in the Lord's hands and closed the door.  I prayed for the fire fighters to be safe.  We drove to Salem Hills High School where the evacuees met  you could see the fire coming down the canyon it was so scary and it became real. Over the next few days many prayers were said our stake had a fast and many stakes all over Utah and the country joined us.   Val and I stayed at Nathaniel and Amber's house.  We got to play with the boys which was a blessing.  Val set up his office in Nathanie

Next Scan

September was a very crazy month before the fire and evacuation I had a scan and a Dr appointment. My scan came back with results of decreased tumors.  This is such great news.  We are so happy.  I am doing so well health wise.  I am so grateful for a reduction of the tumor.  I am basically normal, well as normal as one can be with tumors in ones liver.  It feels good to be a regular person at least as far as health goes.  I appreciate of all your prayers.  I know that they are a big part of my good health.  I hope to continue to get better and have a long life.  After getting back into our home Val and I went to San Jose for business and we took off one day and went to the ocean.  It was so nice to be there and enjoy the peace of the place.  We finally got to celebrate our birthdays and my scan results.  It was good to have time together.
