Teaching in Primary

On Sunday's I have been helping out in primary.  This week they had me help with a class which was two children one that was three and one who was about 10  They didn't speak much English we looked at pictures form the Friend and the picture packet.  We had a good time.  They drew pictures well the older one did.
When we got all together I did singing time.  It was lots of fun.  They don't have anyone to play the piano.  they sing acapella, and they do it very well.  I brought my iphone player and we had that for music.  We learned "I will be Valiant"
After primary we gathered for a group picture.

A new Adventure

I am starting a new adventure in my life. I have been diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. It is in my pancreas and liver. I have been getting to take many tests; like CT Scan, biopsy, MRI, PET, and MUGA. I feel like a pin cushion. I have had radio active sugar water put in me and then waited an hour to take glowing pictures. I didn't glow anywhere I wasn't expecting to so that is good. Yesterday they took some of my blood and put radio active stuff in it then put it back in me. I only needed a 20 minute rest. Before they took pictures of my blood pumping through my heart. While I waited my grandson Adam called. He made the wait fly by. Today I get to have a port put in so they can give me chemo. For this test I can't drive myself home so Val is coming with me. This is the one that makes it all seem real. One never wants to have stage 4 cancer. It has come on so gradual always giving information out a little at a time. So the adventure begins. 1st day of chemo

We drove down to Jackson to the lab to check my blood to see if I was we'll enough. Then we went to the drs office. For all set up. Put the iv in my port it hurt. Good thing about they lest the hook up part so I don't have to get poked the next 4 days :) this is where I get to spend the afternoon. The sisters in my ward made me a scrapbook of inspirational thoughts. It was so nice I haven't read them all I'm spreading out the joy :)

The Unexpected

On one of my walks on the river trail in Spanish Fork I was taking photographs with my new camera and I saw this blue flower blowing in the wind.  So I took a few shots and one turned out so stunning.  I am amazed  and so glad I was able to capture the beauty of this flower. Sometimes in life the things that we think are average turn out to be extraordinary.  We are like this flower, whether in the mist of trials or regular life we can find the beauty in our lives.
