Tree house Lodge

It was good to be on land when we arrived at the treehouse. We walked down a boardwalk to the main lodge. There we were treated with refreshing fruit drinks. There was no need to worry about using bottled water they prepared food in the purified water they had brought in. When traveling in a foreign country you have to be careful of the water and anything that may have been washed in water. We even brushed our teeth with bottled water. Why worry about water there is different kinds of bacteria or other things that our bodies not being use to would make one sick. If one had time you could build up an immunity, we would only be there ten days. Not enough time to build up just enough time to get sick :)

After our refreshments we were told which tree house we would stay in. There was one that was 75 feet height. It was the most sought after. I did not put my hat in the running for that one. Ours was 35 feet high and that was enough claiming. Our room had a queen bed and two twins. Very nice and big.

Dinners, meals there were 5 star. So yummy and very beautiful. Three courses for dinner.

After dinner we went on a night hike. At the planning meeting I was to tired to go on the hike till they said to bring your macro lens to get close up to the jungle wildlife. Then I forgot my tiredness and pressed forward. We say spiders, a snake, huge frog, mushrooms and bugs. Yes misquotes, I didn't photograph any of those though.

The next day was Sunday so we went back to Naut for church. Hour an a half boat ride. We took the long way so we could see the Amazon river. It was huge more like a bigger lake than the one we had been on. When we got off the boat there were motor bike autos. To get us to church faster we were late and they didn't want to make me run. Everyone was so thoughtful. We all ended up riding. Church was great. All in Spanish, sing the hymns in Spanish was fun. The people were so nice. Kevin was great he went in and said hi to almost everyone. Church started late not sure why but it worked out better for us. The mission president was there. Such a good feeling.

After church we went back to the treehouse and had lunch. Then we went to two different villages to give them clothing and medical supplies that boys in Vaughn's ward had put together for their eagle projects. The people were so warm and great full for the items especially the medical supplies. At the last village they had the women bring out their handicrafts out and we shopped for souvenirs. Then they played volleyball. It was fun to watch.
